My CD collection

American Idiot
Artist: Green Day
Released: 2004
Label: Reprise Records
Genre: Punk
★★★★☆
This was one of the first CDs I've ever got, and maybe the reason I find the red-black-white color combo very appealing. I absolutely LOVE this album, I used to listen to it a LOT when my portable CD player wasn't THAT busted (it reads only pressed CDs now unfortunately) to the point I broke its original jewel case AND its replacement, Boulevard of Broken Dreams is the first song I've learnt on guitar, too. I got a copy of it to a friend as well, and they seemed to absolutely like it. The CD I have is probably a 2012 reissue.

Favorite track(s): Jesus of Suburbia (yes, the whole thing), Holiday
Favorite lyrics: And there's nothin' wrong with me / This is how I'm supposed to be / In a land of make-believe / That don't believe in me - Jesus of Suburbia (I'm aware that's the whole chorus don't judge me), I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies - Holiday

Americana
Artist: The Offspring
Released: 1998
Label: Columbia Records
Genre: Skate Punk
★★★★☆
It's a very fun yet somewhat serious album, in my opinion. The Offspring has that particular, messy style of making music that really scratches my brain. Something I might like more than the album itself is how it's presented: I really like the illustrations on the booklets and the CD design, it ties everything together. I don't really listen to it that much, but again, I think it's a pretty fly album. (Get it? Ha-ha. I don't have better jokes.) I fear that Why Don't You Get a Job is my friends' anthem in my regards. Sorry to all the people that have offered me money or food when I didn't have any money, I'll try to make up for it.

Favorite song(s): Walla Walla, Have You Ever
Favorite lyrics: So if you walk away / Who is gonna stay / Cause I'd like to think the world is a better place - Have You Ever, Friends say, he's tryin' too hard and he's not quite hip / But in his own mind, he's the, he's the dopest trip - Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)

Dookie
Artist: Green Day
Released: 1994
Label: Reprise Records
Genre: Punk
★★★☆☆
I personally am not that big of a fan of this specific album, Basket Case might be pretty iconic but the rest of the album is kind of meh. The songs sound all the same to me. Kudos to Welcome to Paradise randomly spawning in my head, though. When I'll have a big tough heart I'll sell it or give it away, unfortunately I am still too attached to it to do it.

El Vals del Obrero
Artist: Ska-P
Released: 1996
Label: RCA Records
Genre: Ska Punk
★★★★★
VERY FUN AND DANCEABLE ALBUM. TOO BAD I'M AFRAID TO LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE OF MY PARENTS. You might be asking yourself why, and the thing is my mom has clocked that Ska-P is an anarcho-communist band and I don't really want her to think I'm an anarcho-communist too, even if I'm definitely left-leaning. Politics aside, I really like it. It's a shame I don't listen to it much though, but there's really nothing I can do about it.

Favorite song(s): I can't just pick one lol
Favorite lyrics: Same as before rip

Fallen
Artist: Evanescence
Released: 2003
Label: Wind-Up
Genre: Nu Metal
★★★★★
This album is probably one of the best things that I have found in my life. Amy Lee's pretty, stunning voice really leaves a mark on you, huh? I might be exaggerating but this album is really pretty, and is definitely a bit different from your classical nu metal. It's currently my favorite album to listen to.

Favorite song(s): Haunted, Tourniquet, Going Under
Favorite lyrics: Blurring and stirring the truth and the lies (So I don't know what's real) / So I don't know what's real and what's not (Don't know what's real and what's not) - Going Under, My wounds cry for the grave / My soul cries for deliverance / Will I be denied, Christ? (Christ) / Tourniquet, my suicide - Tourniquet

Hey Ho Let's Go: Greatest Hits
Artist: Ramones
Released: 2006
Label: Warner Bros.
Genre: Punk
★★☆☆☆
To be honest, I barely even listen to this. I bought it back in December 2025 after a friend of friends recommended it to me and to look cool I bought it on the spot. Issues: this was overly expensive (22€ for a compilation CD is definitely too much), and I am pretty indifferent to Ramones. For this same reason I don't have much to say about it. I listened to it maybe three times total, and I don't consider it to be pretty memorable. I'll probably sell it or give it away when I can. (But hey! At least it's another red-black-white palette CD!)

Ichijikikoku Deluxe
Artist: Atarashii Gakko!
Released: 2023
Label: asobisystem
Genre: J-Pop
★★★★☆
I'm not entirely sure this is recorded/produed by Victor Entertainment, there's no record label on the CD and Discogs just puts Atarashii Gakko as the record label, but it's either Victor Entertainment, asobisystem or 88Rising. 88Rising doesn't seem to release CDS, and Victor Entertainment's website lists Wakage Ga Itaru as their latest release (and that old ass picture lol), so I'm lead to believe this EP was released under asobisystem. Overall this is a pretty solid album, I paid triple the price for it though because my dad didn't want me to get it from Black Screen Records for much cheaper, for some reason.

Favorite song(s): Seishun wo Kirisaku Hado, Giri Giri, Otome no Bigaku
Favorite lyrics: i don't know japanese </3

Let Go
Artist: Avril Lavigne
Released: 2002
Label: Arista Records
Genre: Pop Rock, Pop Punk
★★★★★
First Avril Lavigne album ever, both for her and for me!!! I got this on the same day I got Americana and Fallen, a friend of mine recommended her to me, and I have to say I really liked her! She's got that teen angst vibe to it, and it's a shame that people only know Complicated or Sk8er Boi, because the whole album feels like what you'd listen to on a long car ride, and I mean it in the best way possible. This is maybe one of my no-skip albums.

Favorite song(s): Losing Grip, Unwanted, Complicated
Favorite lyrics: I never spend less than an hour / Washing my hair in the shower / It always takes five hours to make it straight / So I'll braid it in a zillion braids /Though it may take all friggin' day / There's nothin' else better to do anyway - My world, You don't know me, don't ignore me / You don't want me there, you just shut me out - Unwanted

The Best Damn Thing
Artist: Avril Lavigne
Released: 2007
Label: RCA Records
Genre: Pop Rock, Pop Punk
★★★★★
This is another album I find very fun to listen to, I fear all the songs are too iconic to not forget, even I accidentally got the clean version (smh). One day I'll get the expanded version maybe. I like how the CD is hot pink, it's got character. This one is probably more less about teen angst and more about girlhood in general maybe? I'm not really sure, I'm not a music critic lol

Favorite song(s): Everything Back But You, I Can Do Better, I Don't Have To Try
Favorite lyrics: Where are the hopes? Where are the dreams? / My Cinderella story scene? / When do you think they'll finally see? - The Best Damn Thing

The Black Parade is Dead!
Artist: My Chemical Romance
Released: 2007
Label: Reprise Records
Genre: Emo, Pop Punk
★★★☆☆
I actually bought this as a replacemet to my original The Black Parade CD, as it literally was missing some pieces on its back from how much I would listen to it. I didn't know this was a live album, whoops! I thought it was just a special edition with the regular CD and the live DVD, but no, they're both live recordings. I don't listen to MCR that much, but it's nice to have it. It's a tri-fold digipack.

The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess
Artist: Chappell Roan
Released: 2023
Label: Amusement Records, Island Records
Genre: Alt Pop
★★☆☆☆
I got this since a friend really liked Chappell Roan, so I wanted to know what's up. I like it, though it isn't really my genre. I don't really have much opinions on this, it wasn't that expensive which its good for being a digisleeve, but at the same time, I'm not crazy about it. Eventually it'll get scratched too much from being in the digisleeve, but I don't really care. Chappell Roan is pretty good at singing, though.

Toxicity
Artist: System of a Down
Released: 2001
Label: American Records, Columbia Records
Genre: Nu Metal
★★★★★
This is THE no-skip album!! I listen to SOAD to an insane amount, despite not considering myself a fan (mind you, it took me like two years to learn Serj Tankian's name.). I don't have favorite songs or lyrics in this album, I really like the music though.
